| What kind of items would you like to see in the quarterly Newsletter?
The April Newsletter will be coming out shortly and we put items in it that we think may be of interest to the staff and parents, but what do you think? Is there someone who would like to sponsor these Newsletters for some additional advertising?
All suggestions will be considered.
Thank you.

| Keep the same enjoyable reading factor as currently Always makes me smile. Some additional suggestions.. It would be great to see some focus on what the baby group get up to. Currently content seems to be more around the 'older' section which is good but this 'younger' goup is as important. It would perhaps be beneficial to hear the challenges facing the nursery and the plan (or to be worked) to address. ie funding, staffing, space. Hopefully as a group, we can help out more if required with this increased level of visibilty. Some confirmation from the council formally that we can park outside on the double yellow lines for drop off/pick up and not get fined? Details on any planned fundraisers/events? Info on current attendance. Susan | |

| Subject: some expansion on what activities are in daily progress sheets? Fri Mar 26, 2010 7:24 am | |
| I love reading the daily sheets but sometimes I don't really know what's involved.
In the newsletter (or perhaps somewhere else on this site) it would be great to have more explanatory descriptions/photos. For example, what is 'free play' and 'gym play'... This level of detail on the daily sheets is fine but the supprting info somewhere else would be nice too =)

| We take your comments on board regarding the baby group and we will try to redress the balance, wherever possible. We do feel that all groups are as important as each other and the articles in the Newsletter do not reflect favoritism - it just happens to be what the staff have written.
As for the parking outside the provision, this is beyond the remit of VIP Childcare and therefore all individual concerns should be addressed directly to Moray Council.
All fundraising events are directed by the Parents Forum. I have not been notified of any events, but would gladly add them when they arise.
What information would you like to see on current attendence?

| Thanks for your perspective Simon. Good to hear.
Attendance - just an idea of how many kids attend which group. Average or planned. Assume we already have this info somewhere.

| I have spoken with Heather and she has confirmed that on average the 0 to 2 Group have 10 children, the 2 to 3 Group have 10 children and the 3 to 5 Group have 8 children.
The 3 to 5 Group is sessional so does change, so these figures are averages.
Hope that answers your question?

| Hi Simon
Kinda yes. Guess I was more interested in how many kids in total are registered too but didn't express that. Trying to gauge how many parents could potentially be engaged more..if they wanted to of course ;0
Thanks in advance Susan | |

| The on-line forum is not limited to parents of children who use the facilities at VIP Childcare, but is also open to staff, friends, supporters and sponsors, so we are not able to put a figure on likely numbers using the facility.
Within the next few days the April Newsletter will be uploaded onto the website and everyone who we have contact details for will be emailed. The Newsletter has full details of how to use this facility and there will also be posters put up at the nursery.
As far as further figures are concerned, Therese (General Manager) is currently on holiday, but will be back to work on Monday 12th April. If you would like to contact her then, she would be more than happy to meet with you to discuss this further.
